Verbs that end in the 1st person singular with –oj, -aj, -ej, -ëj, -ij, -uj, -yj:
Most verbs in the Albanian language belong to this group. Here are two examples for the formation of these verbs:

Verbs that end with a consonant and don’t change the root:
unë hap – I open
ti hap – you open
ai/ajo hap – he/she opens
ne hap-im – we open
ju hap-ni – you open
ata/ato hap-in – they open
Some examples for this group: mbyll (to close), vendos (to put down), ajros (to air), qep (to sew), puth (to kiss), plas (to burst), gris (to tear up), humb (to loose), mbush (to fill), qesh (to laugh), dhemb (to hurt), ...
Reflective verbs (verbs that end in the 1st person singular with –em or -hem)
These verbs are formed as follows:
unë vish-em – I get dressed
ti vish-esh – you get dressed
ai/ajo vish-et – he/she gets dressed
ne vish-emi – we get dressed
ju vish-eni – you get dressed
ata/ato vish-en – they get dressed
Some examples for this group: nisem (to leave), afrohem (to approach), dridhem (to tremble), arratisem (to flee), martohem (to marry), merrem (to be busy with, to spend time with), vritem (to commit suicide), fshihem (to hide), takohem (to meet up with someone), zgjohem (to wake up), bëhem (to become), kthehem (to return), jepem (to devote), sillem (to behave), quhem (to be called)
